Wow – every time I go to the Bitches, Pembrokshire it just reminds me of why I paddle! Perfect conditions on a small 6.7m tide to try out how it handles on a standing wave.

However, I happen to have a lot of experience on this wave and in this environment, and as nice as it was, it left me with some questions, as I feel it could have been even better! The kayak was harder to turn on the wave when fully engaged along the hull than my glass Explorer and other boats of similar length to the Sport that I have tried in the past. For its length (relatively short for a sea kayak), it just wasn’t loose enough in its handling.
